Christopher Green Running for 21st Senate District

Christopher Green has announced his candidacy for the 21st State Senate District covering the municipalities of Shelton, Stratford, Seymour and Monroe. A graduate of Harvard with a degree in education and developmental psychology he will bring his experience as an educator and leader to state government.


Chris is also a new father whose daughter Francesca, just turned 6 weeks old. You can see her in the photo above.


Christopher Green was born and raised in Berlin, Connecticut. He moved to Stratford with his wife in 2018 and has enjoyed the warmth and vibrancy of Stratford's community. He enjoys shooting hoops at Riverview park in Shelton, played in a Shelton Softball league last year, running along the Stratford Greenway (and is currently serving as a member of the Greenway Committee), Volunteering for Sterling House's Food Pantry, and Blues on the Beach.


A graduate of Harvard University, he has spent most of his career in education. Starting as a middle school math teacher, he shifted to work for an educational enrichment company where he advanced into leadership. For 8 years, he worked as principal to start two afterschool math learning centers in Connecticut, managing a team of over 30 teachers to work with over 2000 students and their parents.


Chris has become increasingly active in the Stratford Democratic Town Committee as a member of their communications subcommittee. He also served as treasurer for all ten town council candidates in the November 2021 Election.


As a competitive runner, he won the Bay State Half Marathon in 2011 in 1:08:49.


He is ready to get to work pushing for a better tomorrow for all of Connecticut's residents.
