Vote Democrat in November to Save Personal Liberty

In June of this year the Supreme Court overturned Roe V Wade, the landmark decision that for 50 years had protected a woman’s right to control her own body. Now the states will make those decisions for her. Governor Lamont and the Democrats in the Connecticut State Legislature have passed important legislation to protect women’s rights in Connecticut. However, this legislation only lasts as long as Democrats control state government and the U.S. Congress. The other party has committed itself to eliminating this right. If they gain control of the statehouse and the governorship, they can easily do just that. In addition, Republicans have already signaled that if they gain control of the national government, they will try to pass a national ban on abortions. If that happens, Connecticut women will lose their protection. The Shelton Democratic Town Committee opposes this infringement on liberty. If you want to keep the government out of your medical decisions and out of your bedroom, please vote for the Democrat team on November 8.
